We note that this is a creative service. Decorate My Space is being hired to provide Styling, Decluttering and Home Arrangement Solutions. The vision and method used to achieve these solutions are based on experience and the successful completion of similar projects in similar circumstances.

Please ensure you have reviewed our website, reviewed our project photos on Instagram and Facebook to familiarise yourself with the services we provide, our style and the results we have achieved.

Please feel free to provide/prepare any relevant information, photos, images of styling that best represent your vision for your space. This will help to ensure our vision alignment and provide the direction needed to move forward purposefully. Otherwise we can guide you through the process from start to finish

Please ensure on the day works are booked:

  • Your schedule is clear of other activities – this is a very interactive process that requires full client engagement, agreement and involvement unless otherwise specified by the client.

  • Your house is at a reasonable degree of cleanliness

  • Pets are restrained or outside


  1. Prices quoted are for labour only

  2. All payments must be finalised on the day of service

  3. A 50% Deposit is required in order to make a booking. Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of the deposit and Information Checklist provided at the time on enquiry

  4. A cancellation fee of $50 will apply if consultations or booking are cancelled within 24 hours of the agreed date and time of the appointment.

  5. Consultations and bookings can be re-scheduled given appropriate notice of more than 24 hours

  6. Additional hours over and above the agreed timeframe will be charged at $65/hour ex GST and are payable on the day

  7. Materials and/or consumables will be charged in addition to the hourly rate

  8. Materials & items purchased for the project will remain the property of Decorate My Space until paid for

  9. Cost remains valid for 30 days from date of submission.

  10. Standard terms of trade apply to all projects

  11. Acceptance of the price is acceptance of the Terms and Conditions here within

  12. Lead Times may apply for booking depending on workload and availability

  13. All methods of styling, decluttering and home arrangements are suggestions only. The client accepts responsibility for the end product as a result of the information provided to Decorate My Space prior to works commencing and Decorate My Space is under no obligation to remediate works due to change of mind.


  1. No Allowance for additional hours beyond the original booking unless otherwise agreed

  2. No allowance for weekend works, Public Holidays or works after 5pm unless otherwise agreed. Additional costs for after hours or weekend works may apply.

  3. No Allowance for materials or consumables required for the works. All materials and consumables to be charged in addition to the original quote.

  4. No allowance for cleaning equipment or cleaning materials

Scope of Works

  1. All decorating solutions are based on the information/ideas and scope provided to Decorate My Space

  2. Solutions will be proposed, and agreement from the client required before commencing with the work

  3. Agreement will be sought at stages of the work to ensure the creative direction is in line with the client’s needs to ensure understanding of direction

  4. It is important that at no time, work is being done without the agreement or understanding of the client. Refer to note 11.

Variations & Cost Adjustments

Any changes to the scope which requires additional labour or materials will require a cost adjustment. These include:

  • Reconsideration of the direction

  • Change of mind

  • Additional works

  1. Variations/Cost Adjustments are payable on the day in addition to the original agreed fee

  2. Variations/Cost Adjustments to contain costs for labour and materials etc.

The Schedule of Rates for Decorate My Space:

Consultation           Rate $70/hr. (Max. 2 Hours)  

Day Labour              Rate $65/hr. (Min. 3 Hours)                                   


  1. The works will be subject to an agreed timeframe to be discussed in the consultation

  2. Timeframes are indicative and based on estimations made upon review of the work, the environment and requirements such as: shopping for required items, cleaning required

  3. Cost Adjustments may or may not require additional time to complete and may require an additional visit. Additional visits must be scheduled and are subject to availability and may not be completed the next consecutive day

Quality Assurance/Consumer Guarantee

As a service provider, Decorate My Space guarantee the services provided in the following methods in-line with the guidelines provided by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission – Consumer Guarantees on Products & Services:

Due Care & Skill

  • use an acceptable level of skill or technical knowledge when providing the services, and

  • take all necessary care to avoid loss or damage when providing the services.

Fit for Purpose

  • services will be reasonably fit for any purpose specified by the consumer and that any resulting products are also fit for that purpose, and that the client has agreed to.

Within a reasonable time

  • If no agreed timeframe is set, services will be supplied within a reasonable time commensurate to the works

  • Services will be provided on an agreed date at an agreed time

  • An agreed timeframe will be discussed during the consultation

  • Adjustments or additions to the scope of works may require additional time to complete. These will also be agreed prior to commencement – please note: additional works may not occur on the next consecutive day if other projects are already scheduled – they will be scheduled on the next available day

Dispute Resolution

  1. Should a dispute arise during the works, Decorate My Space reserve the right to seek legal advice in relation to the dispute

  2. Decorate My Space does not accept mediation as a method for dispute resolution

  3. Decorate My Space defer all costs to be recoverable from the client in the event that Decorate My Space is found to be not responsible for said dispute

  4. All efforts will be made to avoid dispute by seeking agreement on proposed solutions prior to works commencing

  1. Payment Terms are: in-full & on-completion of each session

  2. Credit, Barter, 30 Day options not provided

  3. A $50 deposit payment is required to secure a consultation booking and/or works booking

  4. Payment Claims will be issued on the day and must be paid on completion of the works

  5. Additional works/variations/cost adjustments once completed must be paid for on the day services are provided

  6. A cancellation fee of $50 will apply if consultations or booking are cancelled within 24 hours of the agreed date and time of the appointment

  7. Failure to meet payment obligations may result in the cessation of works and reclamation of purchased items

  8. Continued failure to meet payment obligations may result in Decorate My Space seeking legal enforcement of the debt

  9. If the amount exceeds 30 days, Decorate My Space reserve the right to recover and all costs in pursuit of outstanding monies for administration, accounting and management. The fee for this is $500.00 per week until paid

Service Trades and Third-Party Agreements

  1. Decorate My Space reserves the right to engage third party contractors to assist in carrying out works required by the project

  2. Third Parties will have relevant experience required for the work and will abide by all conditions held by Decorate My Space

Commercial in Confidence

Quotations, Costings, Specification, Documentation provided by Decorate My Space remain the property of Decorate My Space and cannot be used by others or distributed to others.

Cancellations/Refunds/Liquidated Damages/Penalties

As mentioned above, cancellation fees apply if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the booking

Services cannot be cancelled under the following circumstances:

  • You must pay for services you’ve received under a service contract that worked as expected.

  • You can’t cancel a service contract or get a refund if the problem was outside the control of the provider or if you:

  1. changed your mind

  2. insisted on having a service provided in a particular way, against the provider’s advice

  3. failed to clearly explain your needs to the provider
